Privacy Policy

Mood & Dua is an Islamic app with prayer times, the Qur'an, duas, dhikr and tasbih, the Qibla direction and nearby mosques. There are no user accounts and we do not keep your personal data on our own servers. Your settings, statistics, favorites, name and notes stay on your phone. We never sell your data.
The app uses these services: Google AdMob, Google Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics and Google Play purchases.
1. Location
- With your permission, at approximate or precise accuracy, and only for prayer times, finding your city, the Qibla direction and nearby mosques.
- Your location is not stored on our servers. Only the coordinates a feature needs are sent to the service that provides it.
- If you do not grant permission, you can choose your city by hand.
2. Data on your device
The name you enter on the welcome screen, your settings, your prayer, tasbih, khatm and mood records and your favorites are kept only on your device. They are never sent off it and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
3. Analytics and crash reports
- Firebase Analytics records the screens and features you use, the app language, premium status, the prayer calculation method, gender (if you chose it on the welcome screen), purchase and donation events and an app/device identifier. Your name is never sent and you are not personally identified.
- After a crash, Crashlytics collects the crash log, device model, Android version and app version.
- This data is handled under Google's privacy policy.
4. Ads
Free users see ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may process your advertising ID, IP address and general device information. Users in the EEA and UK are asked for consent first. You can turn off personalized ads in your device settings. Premium users see no ads.
5. Purchases and donations
Subscriptions, lifetime Premium and donations are handled by Google Play. We never see or store your payment details; the app keeps only your purchase status on the device. Purchase events are sent to Firebase Analytics.
6. Third-party services
Data is sent only when a feature needs it:
- Prayer times: Diyanet (ezanvakti.diyanet.gov.tr), with ezanvakti.emushaf.net as a backup, in Türkiye. Elsewhere, times are calculated on your device.
- Finding your city: OpenStreetMap Nominatim.
- Nearby mosques: Google Maps / Places and OpenStreetMap Overpass.
- Qibla map: OpenFreeMap.
- Feedback: Google Forms, only if you submit the form.
7. Permissions
- Location (optional): prayer times, Qibla, mosques.
- Notifications: prayer times, adhan and reminders.
- Exact alarms: so notifications arrive on time.
- Internet: services, ads and analytics.
8. Security
Network requests use HTTPS. Data on your device is protected by your phone's own security.
9. Children
Mood & Dua is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version, with its date, is always on this page.
11. This website
mooddua.com uses no cookies and no advertising trackers. Location you share on the prayer times or Qibla pages is used only inside your browser and is never sent to us.
