About Mood & Dua
Mood & Dua is an independent Islamic app for Android, made to bring prayer times, the Qur'an, dhikr and duas together in one calm place. This website shares the same content openly.
Who we are
Mood & Dua is built by a small independent team. We are not affiliated with any government, mosque federation or school of thought, and we do not sell your data. The app is free; Premium removes ads and adds extra tools, which keeps the project going.
Where our content comes from
- Prayer times are calculated with the open-source adhan library, using the method of each country's religious authority: ISNA in North America, the Moonsighting Committee in the UK, the Muslim World League in most of Europe, Umm al-Qura in Saudi Arabia and Diyanet in Türkiye. The site uses exactly the same rules as the app.
- Hijri dates follow the Umm al-Qura calendar. Local moon sighting can differ by a day, and we say so wherever dates appear.
- Duas and adhkar come from the masnun-dua collection, with the Arabic text, transliteration, translation and the hadith or Qur'an reference for each one.
- The Qur'an text is from the Tanzil Project; translations include Sahih International, Hamidullah and Bubenheim & Elyas.
- Guides (prayer, wudu, fasting and more) are written from the classical sources. Where the Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki and Hanbali schools differ, we describe the differences instead of choosing one, and we recommend following what your local scholars teach.
Corrections
